Stated simply, Arturo is passionate about math. He earned his B.S. in Mathematics from UC Irvine, where he was nominated as a Math Alliance Scholar due to his academic excellence in math courses. He was part of an instructional team at UCI (consisting of both math professors and teaching assistants) for upper division math courses including group theory and ring theory. Arturo held joint office hours with the professor and held his own review sessions, ultimately helping dozens of students every year comprehend difficult math concepts and ace their courses. Prior to joining AR, Arturo worked as a math instructor at Mathnasium, where he provided interactive and dynamic tutoring sessions for elementary and high school students.
In addition to coaching his students to mathematical greatness, Arturo loves teaching the art of test taking to his ACT and SAT students. Arturo prides himself on teaching not only math and science but also—and to him, even more importantly—how to develop effective study skills that will help his students in high school, college, and even graduate school.
Outside of the classroom, Arturo enjoys playing a game of chess or watching movies.
