Emily earned her Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Gender Studies at Loyola Marymount University, graduating at the top of her class. She went on to work as a professional journalist for NBC and E! News, with countless publications focused on lifestyle, entertainment, and pop culture.
She's interviewed and written about everyone from celebrities to sports stars, but as she tells her students, you don't have to be famous to have a great story: you just have to find your voice. That's exactly what she guides her students to do. Emily sees all forms of writing as opportunities for self-expression and teaches students to create captivating and authentic narratives tailored to specific audiences.
Emily has coached students with their college application essays for over eight years with tremendous success! Her clients have earned admission to schools ranging from selective UCs to private universities across the country to the Ivy Leagues.
When she is not in the classroom, Emily enjoys travel blogging, yoga retreats, and meditation. She continues to write for various news outlets, but her true passion lies in education.
