Ellen graduated with a BS in Environmental Science (UC Riverside) and a MS in Energy and Sustainability (Northwestern University). Throughout undergrad, she did laboratory research focusing on soil biogeochemistry and participated in the National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduate (NSF REU) while also coordinating sustainability programs in student government. She is currently building her experience as a corporate sustainability professional! She is deeply passionate about environmental science, climate education, and making science more accessible. Ellen enjoys making scientific concepts relatable and she believes that as a highly interdisciplinary subject, environmental science is a pathway for students to see their learnings in real life. In her free time, Ellen enjoys nature walks, weight lifting, trying new coffee shops, and gardening!
