College Consulting

Michael earned a BSFS from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, where he majored in Culture and Politics and Asian Studies, achieving proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.  He became passionate about writing and education, serving on the Editorial Board of The Hoya and teaching English in China’s Anhui Province with the nonprofit Learning Enterprises. His studies propelled him to Asia, where he spent five years after college working in marketing and business strategy.

Returning to Los Angeles, Michael became a  WGA screenwriter, working in TV writing rooms and developing projects for Lionsgate, Sony, Working Title, Endeavor Content, and Black Label Media. Drawing on experience in brand strategy for nonprofits and political campaigns, he is committed to helping students excavate the details that make them extraordinary and elevate their stories to truly stand out.

Writing sessions with Michael will tackle brainstorming, research, outlining, creating a first draft, editing and rewriting, providing essential college-level writing skills. He views each application as an opportunity for students to think critically about who they are, the experiences that have shaped them, and the change they want to create in the world.

When he’s not working with students, Michael enjoys basketball, history, music and traveling.
