Paul E.

Computer Science

Paul transitioned to education after a successful career in software engineering, bringing 12 years of teaching experience to his students. He spent six years as a professional software development instructor and another six years volunteering in K-12 classrooms, including three years teaching AP Computer Science.

 

In addition to computer science, Paul specializes in SAT and ACT prep, having taught ACT prep courses for the Irvine Public Schools Foundation. His approach to teaching is rooted in clarity and engagement, helping students develop both technical skills and critical thinking.

 

Paul holds a B.A. in Journalism and an M.S. in Computer Science from USC. He is also the author of Thus Spoke the Programmer: A Fictional Memoir,  and outside of tutoring, he enjoys reading, writing, and playing piano.
